I think the trend is for AML to increase in value. There are some serious people ploughing money into the company in advance of ever strengthening ties between AML and Daimler. It’s not beyond the realms of possibility that Daimler will target the AML brand for acquisition and I would expect the AML shares to increase in value at least to that point.
This makes sense on a number of levels as it would provide a platform for the merger of of Racing Point/AM F1 team & MB F1, allowing Mr Stroll to sell off Racing Point and to acquire a proven F1 team. Additionally Daimler would acquire access to the upper luxury performance sector occupied by AM whilst sharing platform costs with the existing AMG Halo models. It would also provide AML access to existing MB platforms should they wish to access the lower sectors of the market with more mainstream models, although hopefully avoiding a repeat of the AML/Toyota Cygnet!
