We were building, or were already in positions elsewhere, that gave us short US Dollar exposure and we took this trade simply to hedge in-between the position in case we were wrong about a bearish dollar. By going short the EUR/USD for a quick trade, we are short term betting on US Dollar strength and thus this trade was intended as a small hedge to offset our short USD exposure.
