Current plan for protection JUST in case. Tomorrow, you would be able to buy to close spread for .08 <a gain> prob wouldn't be a gain after commissions...

Per above. Sold the long puts for a decent gain. And I'll buy more with a break below the low of today. :-)

Secondary update. Contingency order will be placed :)
Based on the chart pattern of a few weeks ago, I just went to get the LEAPS and going to hold this position. JD has the features of BABA, AMZN and EBAY and it is the one of the top names in that town, and hence owning this for a while, might mean we either have AMZN on our hands or BABA on our hands or EBAY on our hands. Jan-2020 LEAP is available and I usually buy a little bit of it at a time to accumulate 10-40 contracts and then sit on it. After a while, I will Sell Calls against it (covered) and get rid of some of my LEAPs. Don't let the broker create a short position in the stock for the exercised Call Sell! It has been a disaster for me for one position.
