Seems like there is limited room on the RSI and MACD for the break out you are looking at unless SPX capitulates or major macro political issues. Drop back to the top of your lower channel seems more likely IMHO. I have a small short in gold at the mo, but waiting for clearer guidance next week.

@Perseus, One month charts always have lots of room, even when over sold or bought but I do follow your logic.
