I've been tracking #ripple for the past few months and it clearly showing me the huge potential it has. It seems that market makers are steadily buying to avoid any noise since they are not ready to take ripple to new highs.
Once accumulation is done, i expect ripple to EXPLODE to $0.5 and $1 very soon!

Upthrusts are false breakouts that can trap the unsuspecting trader.
Highly doubt it will touch $1, not even this year. It probably won't touch $.30 for a while. Ripple will continue to go down as focus shifts from Ripple to other coins like Bitcoin, Litecoin and new ICOs. I think Ripple had its time, but remains a payment system between financial institutions. And that's until a better system replaces Ripple. Swell was a disappointment for investors. The best news that came out of Swell was that the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is tapping into Ripple, but, this isn't news worth investment. I'd stay out of Ripple. I thought it found stability at $.20 after two days of staying there. Now, its just going lower and lower as investors flee and go elsewhere.

@erikjanssen, - When did it peak? 2018, not 2017. Then, ask why it peaked? What were the fundamentals of the peak? Hype. Not utilization. Now? The bubble broke, the hype is over.

@BobFlynn, given its position in the top ten few people talk about it, of all the blogs, websites, FB pages and YT channels i follow it rarely gets a mention. The Swell conference done nothing for its value either.
Another reason im not convinced itll get to $1 any time soon is the total amount of XRP in circulation. Go to coinmarket cap and look at the value of coins that have a one billion or greater circulating supply, theyre all 'penny' coins i.e. DGB, XVG, IOTA, RDD, NEM, Lumens etc.
Others are skeptical of XRP due to its centralised, banker controlled status.
In saying that i value AAlFadhala's professional analysis and if it does go to $1 then congratulations to those holding it.
