@jojogoop, Hi they are modulated by pivot points within the lookback range, so if a new pivot point is detected within the range you will get the sharp change in the waveform.... I think, although its been a while since I wrote it :)

@syrinxflunki, thanks for your answer. Looks like I have a work cut out for me. Will have to experiment to recreate something similar. My goal is to detect and alert on polarity flips. And it looks like that's exactly what your script is excelling at with sine wave changes. Here is more info on that topic in case you are interested
