The Enhanced Signal To Noise Ratio was created by John Ehlers (Rocket Science For Traders pgs 87-88) and this is my favorite Ehlers Signal To Noise Ratio indicator. Scalpers like to use this indicator because when it is above the dotted line then the stock is trending and not trading sideways. Buy when the indicator line is green and sell when it is red.

Updated to v5 and included max bars back to fix possible error
Just a quick question, in the John Ehlers book it summarizes the chapter at the end and it specifically says cycle mode should be avoided when the SNR is "below" 6dB. In other words trend mode should be the logical opposite, hence trending markets is given when the SNR is below the 6 horizontal line?

@Forex_Station_Centaur, He also says early in the chapter that any trading should only take place when the signal amplitude is at least double the noise amplitude to be able to make any profit so I will ask him if he can clear this up a bit and I will let you know what he says
