Bank of England is ahead of the Federal Reserve with Rate Hikes:
-December 16th from .1% to .25%
-Feb 3rd from .25% to .5%

I expect GBP to continue to rise until the Fed actually increases rates (sometime in March). Then the USD will further gain strength
