Mali aims for 13% y/y rise in cotton output in 2024-25

Mali aims to produce 780,000 metric tons of cotton in the 2024-25 season, around 13% higher than its output in the previous season, the head of the state cotton company CMDT said on Saturday.

Cotton production last season was around 690,000 tons, CMDT Chief Executive Nango Dembele said on state television, cautioning that the figure had not yet been finalised.
