Looking at btcusd long-term picture with the 3rd halving coming in 2020, expected around the week of May 18th. The 2nd halving was July 9 2016.
Looking back we had a spike ending in December 2017 and retraced to to $3000 low and 200SMA as support. 61.8% resistance held in July 2019 and now we seem to be on the way to test $6000 support and 200SMA is creeping up there as well. So far a continuation pattern by the book.
In the comments sections you see the chart of the 2nd halving and how it repeats the same pattern now before the 3rd halving. After the massive spike that ended in November 2013, it took 3 years before the next massive spike, that happened a month after the 2nd halving. the look of the pattern is very similar. The respect of the 61.8% as resistance and 200SMA as the support.
So overall, expecting the 'to the moon' move soon, with bitcoin getting cheaper first before the big sharks jump in to ride it to new all-time highs.
