Consolidation.. right a standoff between the Bulls and Bears

Okay referring back to our earlier post, if we see some activity around and above the 1.65 level we could see buyers tipping the scales to the upside , the only positive here right now is we have broken the trend line to the upside ( possible breakout at these levels if we can stay above 1.65), There is key data coming out this week for both parties so stay alert and watch the fireworks.

We will be watching this very closely and keep you posted

The line in the sand at the moment seems to be 1.65 to 1.66 area as the chart shows previous support has become resistance , what will give this a push is inflation data this morning from the GBP 0930 and the CPI data out Friday for the loony.

If positive numbers come out this morning for UK inflation this will shoot up to the 1.66 area fairly quickly but will be unsustained in our opinion until Friday...

So as expected the brakes are on @ 1.66 , some cad data out today, but the markets will be watching Friday , if the figures fall short , expect the buyers to start jumping in , and we will be joining in ....

Okay so buyers stepping in after good GBP inflation data, we should see some profit taking soon, and a retest to get in at a safer confluence zone, look at the chart as we have popped our head above the resistance line, if we close above this on the daily , this is good news, another reason to get in long is the market at the moment doesn't seem to be paying any attention to any positive data the CAD is giving, so if Friday's data falls short we could see 1.68 + levels .

As we stated earlier once we close above 1.65 on the daily , the buyers will step in, not that were saying " I told you so" ........... but " we told you so" :)

Okay guys the trade was activated @ 1.66 we are in profit again , the figures out today from CAD were not impressive by any means, and expect further weakness on this basis we will be setting our TP1 @ 1.68
Stop set @ break even 1.66 to allow the trade to run
