If you set a "Take Profit" point and that point is reached while you are checking your stocks, cancel the sell if you can, but then if the stock goes down by, say, about half a percent, immediately sell it. If you still have the stocks when you go and do something else, put a "Stop Loss" point a half a percent below the stock's current value and a "Take Profit" point at a point that varies depending on how well the stock is doing (i go with about half the day's gain).
