002. PIGPENNY PLAY - Long Great Panther Mining (GPL)

Not going to lie, today was probably the absolute hardest trading day I've had in years. The complexities underlying some of the moves today were not only inter-related based on recent correlations, but also for genuine fundamental reasons. For example, while the Nasdaq wants higher because of the ER calls this week, the risk-off sentiment wants gold and silver. Further, the risk-on sentiment did not get their proper fill from Gamestop, so what's the next logical step?

That's right. It's the penny miners.

This company is actually pretty good and I used to trade it when I was into penny stocks around 6 years ago. The only thing that you need to watch out for is the occasional employee mining-related death, which was disturbingly frequent and annoyingly frequent. They solve that problem, I think great panther can leap 10 fold in a few days if we can make it into a cult-play via CNN or some hedge fund or something.

FYI this is an all equity play. I might front run a strong metal move tonight and scalp shares for long position during after hours if the volume is there.

Been a while since I owned shares of anything.. but will keep this one updated tomorrow if it explodes.

oh yeah - would not count on oil doing the parabola this morning. much more likely that silver is the true parabola getting accumulated as we speak.

Cant wait til all the money printed in the world from 2020 goes directly into precious metals because there is literally nothing else left.

I spied a set of new monowaves on gold early Friday morning.

Might be a new bull cycle getting set to launch on Monday.

Any case, the price of this stock is too close to 1 dollar/share for this market not to notice and fix the injustice.

So this was up another 9% after hours with a close of 1.22.

In the chart, I mention 1.34 as a very key level because it can just blast off to 2+ as it accelerates through the channel.

The reason I mention it is because of the possibility of an approach to the channel and then immediate rejection because the market is selling off.

Just be aware of it - otherwise, see no reason why 150% isnt possible over the next few sessions.

This may fly tomorrow if indices sell and crypto either sells or consolidates.

You see, there are no assets left that an angry mob can pump with any sort of underpinning logic.

Fortunately, they cannot pump an asset that is generally selling off because most people will not follow through (and it is preposterously stupid).

Also, those that try to round 2 pump anything that caught at least some media attention will be punished for not ever having come up with an original thought.

Conclusion: Practically longing metals using leverage via futures is not practical for many of the pumpers. The obvious choice are the cheap miners. Among those, the obvious obvious choice is the cheapest decent miner that has the word "Panther" in it.

The name is Kinross Gold Corp and they just thrashed their ER last week. If miners pop collectively, this will surely be a top performer.

Back on the prowl for some reason.

Keep an eye over 1.23. As it approaches 1.34, (assuming that it does today, def may not), start scaling in.

Average cost should be around mid 1.20s going into the breakout above 1.34.
