Merko was founded in 1982 by Duncan Blake, Hakkı Severge and Cemal Mersinli. Our company, which has made itself accepted especially abroad by expanding its research on tomatoes and making successful decisions, went public on October 6, 1994. Tomato paste production started in 1995 at the Tepecik factory. When 1997 came, Merko decided to invest in a second line. In 2014, the chopped tomato line in Sultanköy was moved to the Tepecik factory, and a more integrated system was established. In the same year, the third tomato paste line was also invested. Our company, which has made its quality sustainable with the right decisions, has invested in the 'Diced and whole peeled tomato box line' for Horeca consumption in 2021; expanded the warehouse building to 3.000m2. By purchasing a combined land of 64,000 m2 in 2022, it strengthened its position among tomato processing companies.
