Reliance close was very positive today and this one stock is capable of moving the market up. Infosys also came out with good results. That said, Nifty has again made a higher high higher low and is in itself a good positive sign.
A small gap up opening is likely and welcome but I am personally not a fan of a big gap up opening since the index is obsessed to fill all gaps sooner or later.
