Xi has all the cards with the exception of China being the largest US debt holder. So negotiating with a president that has more than a few business bankruptcies or near misses under his belt, it would be interesting to see if Trump will try and power play and BS his way through.
North Korea will be the main talking point as China will not budge on S. China Sea and trade 'imbalance' is more of the product from US corporations chasing lower costs and smart Chinese policy boosting production and trade. US may have military superiority surrounding China but China has much of the US and global supply chain firmly in its grip.
The devil is definitely in the details here where the undertones of Xi statements will provide hints to China's long game whereas Trump's will be more chest pounding full of questionable diplomatic 'victory' claims in one form or another.
