Both charts look very similar, however in this instance commodities are acting as a leading market for both the dollar bottom (Jan 2021) and the dollar top (Sep 2022), with the commodity index bottoming in April 2020 and topping in March of 2022. Since the last significant declines in both markets, they have both been relatively flat, with commodities remaining slightly weaker than the dollar.
