Open interest in XRP futures contracts crossed the $1.1 billion mark in the past 24 hours, surpassing the $1 billion hit last week and marking a new high for the year. Open interest, or the number of futures contracts that haven't been settled, has risen 21% since Tuesday. The majority of these positions, worth $443 million, are held by cryptocurrency exchange Binance, followed by Bitget, worth $250 million.
