Core logic
The Connors RSI (CRSI) is calculated as the average of three distinct components, each capturing a different aspect of short-term market behavior.
Key principles:
* a short-period RSI measures immediate price momentum
* a streak-based RSI evaluates consecutive up or down closes
* a percentile rank measures the relative magnitude of recent price changes
* all three components are equally weighted
* values are normalized on a 0–100 scale
This structure allows the Connors RSI to react quickly to momentum extremes and short-term price exhaustion.
Visualization
The script plots:
* the Connors RSI line in a separate indicator pane
* upper and lower extreme levels highlighting overbought and oversold zones
* a midline for neutral momentum context
