DESCRIPTION:

ANCHORED LRC PRO+
Intelligent Linear Regression Channel with Fractal-Based Anchoring & Pearson R Optimization

═════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════

OVERVIEW

Traditional Linear Regression Channels use a fixed lookback period — 50 bars, 100 bars, 200 bars. The problem is that these arbitrary periods rarely align with actual market structure. Your channel starts from a random historical bar that has no structural significance.

Anchored LRC Pro+ solves this by anchoring the regression channel to confirmed Williams Fractal pivot points — mathematically significant turning points where price actually reversed. The result is a channel that starts from a real structural event, not an arbitrary point in time.

But it goes further. The indicator doesn't just anchor to the most recent fractal. It evaluates multiple recent fractals simultaneously and calculates the Pearson R correlation coefficient for each potential anchor. It then selects the anchor that produces the strongest statistical fit to current price action. You get the most statistically valid channel possible at any given moment.

HOW IT WORKS

Step 1 — Fractal Detection:
Williams Fractals are identified using a configurable lookback period. The indicator auto-adjusts this lookback based on your timeframe (shorter timeframes use larger lookback values to filter noise, higher timeframes use smaller values), or you can set it manually.

Step 2 — Anchor Selection:
The indicator stores recent fractal highs and fractal lows. In "Best Fit" mode, it calculates Pearson's R correlation for each stored fractal as a potential anchor point. The fractal that produces the highest R value — meaning the strongest linear relationship between price and time — becomes the anchor.

Step 3 — Channel Construction:
A standard linear regression is calculated from the selected anchor point to the current bar. Upper and lower bands are drawn at a configurable standard deviation width. The channel extends forward by a user-defined number of bars.

Step 4 — Price Position Analysis:
The info table displays where price currently sits within the channel as a percentage (0% = lower band, 50% = regression line, 100% = upper band), along with zone labels such as "Upper Extreme," "Midline," or "Lower Zone."

ANCHOR MODES

Best Fit (Pearson R) — DEFAULT. Evaluates multiple recent fractals (configurable: 2-10) and selects the one producing the highest Pearson R correlation. This ensures your channel has the strongest possible statistical validity. A minimum R threshold can be set to reject weak fits entirely.

Most Recent — Anchors to whichever fractal (high or low) confirmed most recently. Simple and responsive, but may not produce the strongest channel.

From Fractal High — Always anchors to the most recent fractal high. Useful when you want channels originating from resistance/supply zones.

From Fractal Low — Always anchors to the most recent fractal low. Useful when you want channels originating from support/demand zones.

PEARSON R CORRELATION

The Pearson R value (displayed in the anchor label and info table) tells you how well price conforms to the linear regression line:

0.90 — 1.00: Very Strong — Price is moving in a highly linear trend
0.70 — 0.89: Strong — Clear trend with minor deviations
0.50 — 0.69: Moderate — Trend exists but with significant noise
Below 0.50: Weak — Price action is choppy; channel may not be reliable

Higher R values mean the channel boundaries are more statistically meaningful. The info table color-codes the R value (green for strong, yellow for moderate, orange for weak) so you can assess channel reliability at a glance.

USE CASES

Trend Trading: Use Best Fit mode. A high R value (0.80+) confirms a strong, tradeable trend. Buy near the lower band in uptrends, sell near the upper band in downtrends.

Mean Reversion: When price reaches the upper or lower extreme zones (shown in the info table), look for reversal setups back toward the regression line.

Breakout Confirmation: A channel break combined with declining R values can signal a structural shift in trend direction.

Support/Resistance: Anchor from Fractal High or Low to create channels originating from key supply/demand zones.

Multi-Timeframe: Use on higher timeframes to establish the dominant trend channel, then trade entries on lower timeframes within that channel's context.

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT

Most regression channel indicators use arbitrary fixed lookback periods. This indicator anchors to real market structure (fractals) and uses statistical optimization (Pearson R) to select the best anchor point. The result is a channel that is both structurally meaningful and statistically valid — not just a line drawn from an arbitrary starting point.

TIMEFRAME COMPATIBILITY

Works on all timeframes. The auto-fractal feature adjusts sensitivity automatically:
- 1-2 min: Lookback 10 (filters micro-noise)
- 5 min: Lookback 7
- 15 min: Lookback 5
- 1H+: Lookback 2-3 (captures broader structure)

ALERTS

- Fractal High Confirmed — New potential anchor point detected above price
- Fractal Low Confirmed — New potential anchor point detected below price
