I am short here from 6900. I am risking 2% on the trade, I am hoping this trade takes me back to being up 20% on my account where I belong.
I am not that confident in this trade since this well could be the beginning of a strong uptrend, but if you can learn anything from me, it should be this: it doesn't matter what I think or what you think. All that matters is what your strategy says. You should not have to think as a trader. Ever. You should think about improving your strategy, but this is separate and is not the mechanical act of trading.
Any time I hear someone talk about emotions in trading, I immediately assume they are a total amateur and are going to lose all of their money. You should be so far past having to manage your emotions and even beyond thinking if you are to be successful.
I hear newbs talking about "how to manage your emotions." Your emotions are IRRELEVANT. I can be scared shitless and it won't change how I trade. That's the point. That's called sticking to your strategy, and has zero to do with emotions.

And frankly, you shouldn't want to curtail your emotions. Emotions are great. Feel your emotions - they are what makes life worth living.
